I attended a networking meeting for this organization which was very worthwhile. Their web site is http://www.nmtechcouncil.org/ and their mission statement is this:

The New Mexico Technology Council (formerly NMITSA) is a member-driven association of business and organization executive leaders, working together to promote the growth and success of New Mexico's technology sectors.

A colleague tipped me off to a great way to manage time, and to keep projects on track. It’s called the Pomodoro Technique, and you can read about it here: http://www.pomodorotechnique.com/

I’m test-driving Pomodoro and I’ll get back to you on its effectiveness.

Take Control!

I have reincarnated Starfinger Software to provide Web Site Development, rescue and maintenance. The previous incarnation was more devoted to systems and network support.

Now it's all about providing robust web-based solutions for customers.

I like to start with a solid and standard Content Management System (CMS), and use the “tricks of the trade” to tailor it to your business needs.

I can provide

Programming Level 3 – PHP, MySql, JavaScript etc.

Programming Level 4 – Object Oriented frameworks, CodeIgniter, jQuery

Programming Level 5 – Content Management Systems, specializing in WordPress and Joomla!

I also employ many of the “traditional” development tools – DreamWeaver CS5, Acrobat, Photoshop

Starfinger Software still provides what I call “personal internet consulting” bringing personalized service to your business, to ensure that your network and applications really work well. I respond within 2 hours day or night, and provide a substantive response within 1 day.

If the problem or project is outside of my areas of expertise, I will refer you to someone who can do the job.
